Silk comforters can be used without duvet covers. However to protect and prolong the use of your silk comforter we highly recommend using a duvet cover. Frequent dry-cleaning may be necessary if you choose not to use a duvet cover and may damage the silk comforter. Direct contact with the outer shell of the silk comforter may also wear and eventually tear the outer shell of the silk comforter.
If you enjoy the feel of silk, silk duvet covers are available. Silk duvet covers are machine washable. They also provide the versatility to match with your bedroom decor.
